Daily Mirror: Pals Eddie Redmayne, Meryl Streep, Simon Cowell, Chris Rock, Arnie Schwarzengger and Shia Lebeouf join James for his hilarious welcome to America clip
James Corden has a huge myriad of A list friends, and it seems most of them joined him to film a hilarious pre-recorded video to welcome him to the States.
In a tongue-in-cheek explanation as to how he landed his job as host of the revamped Late Late Show, the sketch began with CBS President Leslie Moonves putting a golden ticket into a chocolate.
All very Willie Wonka, Charlie and the Chocolate factory.
Cowell was disappointed not to find it in his bar, as was his old stage school buddy, Oscar winner Redmayne. Eventually, after huge disappointment upon these superstar's faces, James found himself as Charlie...

HOW JAMES CORDEN WENT FROM SHOW TUNES WITH EDDIE REDMAYNE TO A NEW, SNARK-FREE "LATE LATE SHOW"
When he was 10 years old, Corden enrolled in the Jackie Palmer Stage School. "That was an after-school drama club for singing and dancing and acting which also had an agency where you'd go audition for paying adverts and things you could do on the weekend," says Corden, who spent six years at the school. "Three years below me was a young boy named Eddie Redmayne. We often did revues where it would always be like Eddie singing 'We're Walking in the Air' from the Snow Man cartoon, and then I'd sing 'Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat' from Guys and Dolls.
